Mexican Silver Mark..Emma

I found a shell shaped dish at my local thrift shop and I can't figure out the maker. It says Pasaje Alameda..Mexico 950..and has a signature of EMMA(the E is on one line, the MM right under, and the A on another line) inside a triangular diamond shaped mark. It was suggested that maybe this is an Emma Melendez piece. Someone said that they looked in their book and don't find any EMMA inside a diamond for Emma Melendez though. Could it be a variation of her signature?

Re: Mexican Silver Mark..Emma

I have done some research on your piece and find no Mexican Maker with that mark. The address of Pasaje Alameda will be our clue as to where it was made. Emma designed in Taxco. I do not know if there is a street by that name in that town or if it is an address in Mexico City or some other town. I do not give much chance of your tray being designed by Emma Melendez.

Good luck,
