Hello Major Glass Chain

Just figured a job here. When your local company store found out they were loosing it, they cut the price about 40%. Thank the good lord I don't own any of your stock. Are you going to pay back a big loan and make a profit like this. So much for positive change in our industry .

Re: Hello Major Glass Chain

Who said and who expects that there was any positive change coming in this industry? Are you referring to the Belron/Safelite conglomeration?

If so and in that regard, any anticipated changes will be for the worse and sure not toward the better.

I'm surprised and amazed that ANYONE in this business and in the know could think differently unless they are wearing rose colored cheaters.

What I see in the future is a further downward spiral of profit margins for independents as the big boys gain increasing control of the market. Take a look at Great Britain's w/s marketing policies and it will give one a whiff of the future.

The subject of manufacturer owned networks and the crazy w/s distribution and wholesale prices of glass coupled with insurance company discounts tied to NAG pricing is too complicated to even go into without writing a book.

But it all reminds me of a Gordian knot.

Re: Hello Major Glass Chain

Belron/Safelite is a GLOBAL company. They don't have to make $$$ in the US until they have run all the Independents out. They can fund themselves from other parts of the world untill that happens.
