Help.. I cant get my index.htm to be public.

I deleted the bravenet index.html page and renamed mine and html. When I click on it as htm I see the page but when I change to html bravehost says site is under construction. How can I get my page to show up?

I created in publisher and published as a webpage and have uploaded it on other sites and all was fine. Not sure what is wrong here.

Re: Help.. I cant get my index.htm to be public.

well let's see

1. You deleted the placeholder index.html page

2. You renamed your homepage

3. You used publisher which is not a webpage maker program and one many will say DO NOT USE

4. You saved your page as extension htm instead of html

5. You have given no URL to even look at your page

One of the biggest mistakes a beginner makes is to do away with the index.html That page is the backbone of your site, it has to be there. You can create a "homepage" and redirect your index.html to that page.

Browser: FireFox

OS: windows xp

Another suggestion is to create your page on what ever editor program you use, the copy the code and paste it using the bravenet editor. This way the you are not asking bravenet to translate the page for you.
