Re: Adverts

If you have upgraded - your site is now: http://healinghopemissions.com/

and not the bravenet subdomain , of the free site...

You need to configure your new site...

Re: Adverts

I believe it is entirely possible to upgrade hosting without purchasing a domain. But as there seems to exist a site called http://healinghopemissions.com/, I assume that Alan is right.

However, when I visited your site, there were no advertisements, not on any of the pages.

If you think you still have them, there are two possible explanations. One is that you are seeing a cached version of your site stored on your computer when there was still advertising.

Another possibility is that because you have several products from Bravehost, they get sort of mixed up in your mind, so that you think of the photo album, the guestbook, the calendar and the cartoons as part of your site. Well, they are not. You signed up for those seperately, remember? And they are not upgraded, but paid through advertising.

More important than the advertising is that you seem to think that when you click and drag the borders of an image to make it fit on your page, you are changing the file size from a 1.6 megabyte monstrosity to something useful and downloadable. Not true. One of your pages was 6 megabytes, and loaded painfully slow on my computer, even though I'm paying far more than the average monthly wage in Malawi to have a good connection. Your images should be resized to about 1 or 2 percent of the present file size before being used on the internet.
