When you register for hosting an "Under Construction" page is automatically created by Bravenet with the name index.html
When you type in your url in a browser Bravenet first looks for a file called index.html, if it doesn't find that then it looks for index.htm. If both are missing then it returns an error message.
When you create you home page you have a choice:
1. Call it index.html and upload it. It will replace the existing index.html file
2. Call it index.htm, upload it then use FTP to delete the existing index.html file
If you called your home page anything else then go to your PC and rename it. Use your editor to correct any internal links on other pages and upload again.
I'm going to create another page for my site.
I'm going to document all of the pertinent entries.
If it still fails to upload all of the construction steps will be documentged. I know it has to be something simple but if the radar operator just performed his simple tasks properly maybe Pearl Harbor would never have happened
Thanks to all for all the previous help and suggestions
