I tried to use the file manager to upload my first pages to my site. When I clicked on Upload File, it read "upload file to / ". I went ahead and uploaded files but I viewed my site it read Under Construction. Refreshing the page did not help. Is this the problem, should the name of my website appear after the / ?

you might try an ftp program away from the ftp applet if you tried to use that

I have no problems with an outside ftp program if you made your site using your own html editor and not bravenet's


the ftp applet at times has too many issues

but your main page has to be index.htm or index.html so if you uploaded index.htm for your main page then the page it is looking at now is the index.html placeholder page you are given when you sign up for a free site or even purchase a full domain.

You also seem to have forgotten to upload the pictures.

i have the same problem but i can't find what u guys are talking about!

keli you don't have a website called at least with the link you provided

did you even sign up for the free site

if you did then you would be able to upload files


but your site you provided doesn't exist

so if you want the one you listed

sign in to your bravenet account
click websites
click build a website
then click use a subdomain
then type the name you want in that box and hit submit and if available then your place holder index.html page will be there and you can start building your site
