I am currently trying to publish my website with NVU. There is a window saying "publishing..." and I've been waiting about 30 minutes. Should it work faster? Is there a problem?

Yes, it should work faster, even with a lot of pages. If you have waited more than 5 minutes, and nothing changes on the Nvu publishing window, there is something wrong. Publishing is nothing more than an automated FTP upload.

There could be several possible problems. Lately I have seen a lot of complaints about FTP access being down or limited. You could be running into that. Or, you you could be having problems with your firewall. If you have one enabled, try disabling it for a short time, and try again. From one of my network connections, I had to configure a proxy, before I could publish from Nvu. On my direct internet connection, I was able to publish without any problem.
