I can't find a music host that myspace will work with. (Yes I know this is bravenet) My bravenet account I make custom pages (and will do more so in the future) for myspace and I come accross a few faults in it. I can't upload mp3s so I have to uplaod a wav which boy eats up mbs of bandwidth and I planned to make a voice wav for a friend on myspace and that'd even be longer which in result would eat probably double-triple the bandwidth as this low wav does.
So my question is....Does anyone know of a free mp3 host (NOT! ripway or another one. I think it is the i I swear I read once that an i is filtered or something stupid like that or if you know one that you've used [if anyone here even has myspace]) or a way to make a wav small enough that it won't consume so much bandwidth.
I'm of course on a free host and I can't pay for a paid host so thats out of the question. I even thought of a seperate account for the one wav file but I'm almost sure it might be locked by the end of the month (Seeing as I have about 80mbs used of bandwidth on my main account and it's only been up about less than a week to a week. My page isn't as active as hers, the file for her will be bigger(double-triple), X_X...)....
So I'm kinda stumped on how to go about getting it. I'm gonna continue to see WHY ripway and all that is filtered on myspace as well but I figured this would be a better place to ask about it as I planned to do other music related things too and add it to my pages with bravenet to add that to my myspace lol. So alot of it is gonna be on bravenet but unluckly I want this one to be on myspace X_X
i see music artists and more use myspace, ripway, youtube and things.
I use ripway for mp3's since I have the free site but don't have myspace.
I even have a myspace site and have easily added video's around myspace to my site.
You just may have to use Ripway regardless or not because mp3's are HUGE files and so with free sites it just will use up your bandwidth like crazy and one reason these are not file types allowed for uploading to places unless you PAY
Not sure why you are using WAV files. If you get a free copy of Audacity you can make mp3 files that will be much smaller. If it is for podcasting then Audacity will use the the default settings around 64kps an still give you top quality. Either was it while save a huge amount of bandwidth and still give a better quality file. It is 100% totally free with no banners etc.
I was using wavs cause I can't seem to find out why ripway doesn't work or other mp3 hosts. I found two good mp3 hosts but I'm putting it directly on myspace for one of them and thats the killer.
I got the mp3 verison of it and one I have a wma verison of it even. It's just none of that hosts here and thats the only host so far that I've found I can use on myspace.
I'm gonna have to see if theres a way to trick it to work ripway or others but so far no dice. (Maybe theres a code/trick to make them not filter the site) but when I put the ripway they put ".." where ripway is in the link the rest showed. So yeah. Myspace is really tricky. I alreadyp lan to use ripway and all for the actual stuff on bravehost but was asking others opions on the fact / if there was something I missed for a good mp3 host that might work there. :P
