From the information given, and considering that there are not 50 other posts about the same problem it sounds very much like a failure on your part to renew either the domain name or hosting contract on time.
It was a brand new external domain. Originally setup as a free account then upgraded and paid for. DNS entries were made 5 days ago and I have lost faith in their support for a business site and have started moving my accounts back to Dotster.
After years of doing this stuff I know what I need to do so I'm going to stick around here with my secondary domains for a bit longer.
I've tried installing some of the free code you get with the purchase of hosting,,,, some have worked some have had problems.
Final judgement to be decided... but those tools better be sweet!
