Re: Setting up a link to outside URL button

It looks like your using the Website Wizard, so creating a link is pretty straight forward.

When you are in one of the Wizard's content editors, enter some text that you want to turn into a link. It doesn't have to be the link name itself, but it can be. Any old text will do like "Click Her to go to ...".

Then, using your cursor, highlight the text by clicking and dragging across it. Then click on the "Link" icon. This should pop up a window that will allow you to enter the URL for the link. It's best to enter the full URL, including the "http://" prefix. After you click on the OK button, your text should be highlighted as a link. Save your work and "publish" your pages. Then view your site and check out the link.

This same approach works with a image, like a annotated button. You need to first upload the image and insert it in your content area. The, like with the text, click and drag across it to select it. Then click on the "Link" button. As with the text link, enter the URL for the link, and click OK. When you finish, you will probably find a blue border around the image. This is the default operation when you wrap a image in a link. You can eliminate the border by switching to the Code Editor mode, and insert "border=0" in the tag. For example,

border=0>

Very nice,I am on it ,thank you for the answer

Re: Setting up a link to outside URL button

Hi Martin, I've just picked up what you said about apropos the border around an image, I've been meaning to post about that problem myself.

Now I don't mind them so much and my question is: Presumably the '0' in the code relates to the thickness of the border? If not then is it possible?

And is it possible to change it from blue to black?

Also, while I'm here, is it possible to insert a link to a website in the Footer Bar in Wizard? If so how please?

Thanks,

Navi
