Re: Transfers

all i see right now is a blank white page that says a little sentence welcome to rally photos

if you are using an ftp program and have uploaded the files into the root directory for your page they should show up

if you are using the ftp applet that doesn't work all that fantastic so better to use a straight up third party ftp program

might want to make sure of the coding for things you have put on your website as well

is your site hosted here at bravenet as well or what.

I see your DNS servers look to be pointing to some servers with the UK so not sure if any of these things are factors

Re: Transfers

While, everything that Suzy says is true, a direct answer to your question is "immediately". As soon as your FTP transfer completes, your files are available to the internet, from your web site. But, that assumes that everything else about your domain and hosting are in place properly. So I don't think that FTP transfer and update times are your problem.

According to an InterNic search, your domain has been around for a while. But your Name Servers appear to be pointing to a "parking" web site. This sometimes happens if you let your domain name rent lapse. When you reinstate it, with an infusion of money, the Name Servers may need to be reset. If you have hosting with Bravenet, you need to log into your domain manager and set the Primary and Secondary Name Servers, to the servers provided by Bravenet.

Domain Name: RALLYPHOTOS.COM
Name Server: WEB1.DOMAINCHECK.CO.UK
Name Server: MANAGER.DOMAINCHECK.CO.UK

If you don't have the name of the Bravent servers for your web site, contact Bravenet directly. They will need to set up their DNS. The whole process could take 24 to 72 hours for all domain servers to expire their existing information and update.
