If you still want to do that little project, you will need to look for a different web host. As you're looking around, what you want to look for would be "shell access" and "crontab". At least that's what it would be called on a Linux server. I did a Google search and did find some outfits that advertise such features -- can't vouch for any of them. (I have a feeling if you went with a host like that, you might end up among a bunch of spammers but that may be just a random thought with no merit.)
