Could someone tell me how to change your domain/URL name?

Unfortunatly it is not simple, and cannot be done is some cases. But more information would be helpful. firstly wat is your existing domain name or the one you would like to change. who is it registered with, who do you host it with, and is it a free one or a paid one. more info please in order to help
