I just purchased the Pro Hosting and transferred my whole site over to Bravehost from another host. Within a matter of hours after created a couple of email addresses, I received a SPAM email from 'myself"?! I have not distributed it or posted it anywhere. How else does someone get my email address without hacking the Bravehost system?

Is this common with Bravehost? Does anyone else have this same problem?
Of course, I created a support ticket, but who knows how long it will take to get an official response of no fault.

If your address is of the format of forename@domain.com then be aware that there are spam bots and viruses around that take known domain names and add random forenames to the address.

When one of my magazine's subscribers had a virus on their PC a whole load of messages went out supposedly from random christian names @ our domain.

In short, there is no problem at Bravenet.
