Basically the subject says it all I have tried to edit my pages on a number of occasions and published site and previewed site everything seems okay but then when check website it has not changed.

Rick, are you saving your changes when you write them? The little icon in your upper tool bar that looks a little like a floor model tv is where you click to save the changes you make. Then try looking at the page, be sure to refresh it if it still isn't changed.
