domain name

My stupid question is this. I bought a domain name will my sight be the name I bought or something else.

Once you set the nameservers on your domain to point to your hosting then that will be the address for your site.

I thought that is what Dave did for me but it is still not registering. It has been over 10 days now and nothing. can someone please tell me how to do it.
