On Friday, I upgraded from a basic paid host package, to the larger package. I changed the server info as instructed. I know it said 24 to 48 hours to be able to have access to my files, is it common to be more like 48 to 72 hours? I update my site often, so I am getting impatient with the wait :) Just wondering!!

The delay is a one off whenever you move your site from one computer to another on the web. That is how long it takes for all of the domain name servers around the world to recognise that your site has moved. It has to do with people finding your site and has nothing to do with your being able to update it in the meantime.
