Ok so I have a freesite through bravenet and i just registered though e-starr.com for paid hosting. I also have a domain name registered through bravenet. can i just change the nameservers to make it work or do i need to pay to have it transferred

1: If you just want to redirect the domain, to point to youre new account, or anywhere for that matter, you just change nameservers, and point the domain to whatever youre site is.

2: If you want youre new site being set up as a main domain for that site, you have to ask bravenet to transfer it. I never ask them to transfer domains, but i know all hosting co. not allways are happy to transfer domains, and often it will take weeks before they get it done.

Both I and e-starr tried to change the nameserver. No. 2 works but when we put in No. 1 it says there was an error. Maybe I will go ahead and ask bravenet to transfer, hopefully it'll be done soon since I am paying for all this.
