Re: Rage Goes Retro 3 playlist 21st Jan 2017: Countdown episodes only shown by episode number

Great that there's a morning episode of Countdown.
It's a good one too.
Shame that 'Gigolo' by Colleen Hewett is only a chartbuster, would love a full clip or studio performance.

Re: Rage Goes Retro 3 playlist 21st Jan 2017: Countdown episodes only shown by episode number

A couple of minor corrections because I'm pedantic...
Tom Tom Club should be "Genius of Love"
Michael Jackson "One Day in Your Life"

Both great songs. Nice episode!
I usually resist looking in advance at the playlist as I enjoy the surprise, but for some reason I couldn't resist peeking today.

Re: Rage Goes Retro 3 playlist 21st Jan 2017: Countdown episodes only shown by episode number

Love the MJ song too - a number one in the UK. Never heard that INXS song "Night Of Rebellion"?

Re: Rage Goes Retro 3 playlist 21st Jan 2017: Countdown episodes only shown by episode number

Luuuc, I just copied and pasted my Archives, obviously the archivists don't know Tom Tom Clubs or Michael Jackson's song titles! hahahahaha ...

And Gary, Night Of Rebellion is one of my favourite early Inxs tracks on their second album 'Underneath The Colours'.

Rage have played other 1982 episodes of Countdown before with this very studio performance and on Inxs specials, how did you miss it ...

Re: Rage Goes Retro 3 playlist 21st Jan 2017: Countdown episodes only shown by episode number

Still have a few 1982 shows to watch that have aired. Looking forward to it

Re: Rage Goes Retro 3 playlist 21st Jan 2017: Countdown episodes only shown by episode number

rage have aired the 'Night of Rebellion' performance as a standalone video thrice since 1998 - once in 1998, 2009, and 2014.

Re: Rage Goes Retro 3 playlist 21st Jan 2017: Countdown episodes only shown by episode number

9/6/85 episode was a bit of a let down after the amazing 24/5/81 episode. James Reyne had such a talent of hosting Countdown. It was good though to see my fave band Eurythmics finally knock off 'We Are The World' from the No.1 spot after, I think Gavin said, 10 weeks at No.1. Go Annie and Dave

Re: Rage Goes Retro 3 playlist 21st Jan 2017: Countdown episodes only shown by episode number

We Are The World is so boring compared to Do They Know It's Christmas

Re: Rage Goes Retro 3 playlist 21st Jan 2017: Countdown episodes only shown by episode number

I loved the 1985 episode. Dynamic Hepnotics with that set, the Freddie Murcury interview, Marilyn, Humdrum at his house and Gavin Wood and Molly interviewing Paul Young was good to
