As far as the forestry department is concerned with the development of private lands: To that agency, the operation is indeed a logging/thinning project. They are not in the business of private lands so they are probably not informed as to the zoned land use and other building/planning commision issues. The project was properly posted in advance in several areas.
You may be able to call or go online to the building dept and learn of its zoning to be sure the subdivision is approved.
Don't get me wrong. I am against subdivision and further development of this area, in any respect.
