UK/US FAN MEET MAY 2008!
  Hey everyone!! We are in the early stages of putting together a 5 day NYC/Boston trip sometime in May 2008 so that the UK and USA fans can meet up, and enjoy some time together! 3 days in NYC, 2 days in Boston.......we want to try to spend some time at Joe's Pub where One Too Many was recorded/performed by Joe and Eman, but since it's located inside the Public Theatre, we have to do some contacting/research first. We were also kicking around an idea about all the UK fans wearing the light blue Joe London concert shirt and all the US fans wearing his 8:09 tshirt so we can easily spot each other the 1st day we all meet there! most of us 1st discovered Joseph Mcintyre in the year 1988. Therefore, in 2008, it'll be the 20th yr anniversary of "Hangin Tough" and the year that he 1st entered most of our young lives!! (Give it up for Elaine, wildy clapping and cheering - WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!) Quite frankly, that was one of the most important, most memorable years of my life because of that!! We would like to get some input however from all of you as to exactly where/what you'd like to do/go on this 5 day excursion thru NYC/Boston. Please post suggestions! We're going to hope that we can catch a Broadway show and get a group ticket rate for one thing. And the Amtrak (train) ride from NYC to Boston is quick and cheap! If you know of any other Joe fans that poke around on other boards or no boards at all even that would be interested in joining in on the fun, please let them know about this. The more people we get in on it, the cheaper this will be for everyone involved! We are serious about this ladies! Please also note this is NOT a 'convention' but a Joe Mac UK/USA fans meeting! IF we can manage to get Joe (& maybe even Eman) to make an appearance somewhere sometime during our visit to NYC or Boston, we will, but the main point of this is so we can all meet and hang out! Thank you for your thoughts and input! The planning is just beginning! |
