I. Acknowledging you are a sinner:

"All we, like sheep, have gone astray; we have turned everyone unto his own way;and the Lord hath laid on him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53: 6

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death,but the gift of God is eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness? " Romans 6:16

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness." Romans 1:18

"For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid! Let God be true and every man a liar." Romans 3:3

"Now we know that God heareth NOT sinners; but if any man be a worshipper of God and doeth His will, him He heareth." John 9:31

II Acknowledging Jesus as the Messiah, and the one who forgives sin:

Jesus said, "For God so the world, that HE gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him, might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:16-18

Jesus said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because HE hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19

"And He (Jesus) said unto them, Ye are from beneath, I am from above, ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you; that ye shall die in your sins;for if you believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins." John 8:23-24

"Jesus saith unto her, I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me,though he were dead, yet shall he live.And whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall never die." John 11:25

"Jesus saith unto him, I am The Way, The Truth and The Life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me." John 14:6

Jesus said, "He that is of God, heareth God's words; ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God." John 8:47

Jesus said, "And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6: 40

Jesus said, "For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them." Luke 9:56

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not on the Son shall not see Life; but the wrath of God abideth in him." John 3:36

III. Confessing your sins, repenting (turning away from) of evil and acknowledging that Jesus's sacrifice on the Cross set you free of sin:

"Jesus answered and said unto him,'Verily, verily, I say unto you,unless a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God." John 3:3

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus , and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead,thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9

"But whosoever shall come upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

Jesus said, "Verily, verily (truthfully) I say unto you, he that heareth my words, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.' John 5:24
