"Guus van Kouwenhoven has become the second Dutch businessman to be charged with war crimes in the past week. Mr van Kouwenhoven is accused of having ran militia groups in Liberia which massacred civilians. He has also been charged with supplying arms to Liberias former dictator Charles Taylor. The United Nations Security Council imposed an arms embargo on Charles Taylor in 2001 to punish him for supplying rebels in neighbouring Sierra Leone with weapons in exchange for diamonds during Sierra Leone's ten year civil war which ended in 2002." from interworld radio news
