I recommend a good opinion piece in The Illinois Leader newspaper, by Rev.Thorin Anderson, entitled, "Embryonic Stem Cell Research,the danger of redefining life" Jan 17,2005.

Rev. Anderson's article is one of best I have read on this subject. I would also like to remind you that human embryoes are living human beings.To kill them for their cells would be as wrong as killing any other human for their body parts. We, as a nation, cannot allow the redefining of humans into non-humans for the cause of research or for any cause. The human species is made in the image of God according to Genesis 1:27-28,:So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created HE them; and God blessed them and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
