This Forum is for posting any prolife news so feel free to add it in with a heading please. I will also be posting the kind of news you may not read in your local newspaper! So of course, all postings are open to your comments and debate. My intent is to educate and so each posting will most likely contain info on the status of the prolife situation and to help you think for yourself. Today think on this:
The US did not get "abortion as a right" by true Constitutional Authority. The US Constitution, Article I, Section I gives only Congress the authority to create law. And there is another section that defines in what ways the Constitution may be amended and guess what? Judicial fiat by Supreme Court is NOT one of the ways!
A true "right" comes from an Amendment to the US Constitution and that did not happen. The Congress did not vote on the "right to kill one's offspring"aka abortion, and the States did not vote to ratify it either. So there is no such thing on the federal level as the "right to abortion." Douglas Johnson of the National Right to Life said, "we didn't get our current legal regime by majority vote, we got it from seven lawyers" of the Supreme Court.
