The other quarter final.
While not in the same "league" as the game at Bulpit Lane on Saturday, could you spare a thought for the Reserve team who on Saturday are also playing in their biggest game of the season against Ardley Reseves in the quarter final of the League Cup. All attempts to postpone the game have so far failed. So good luck to both teams and hopefully the Club will have two semi finalists come 4.45pm on Saturday. |

I seem to recall a 4 - 3 away victory over AFC Newbury's first team in that Semi! The draw has been made for the next round and the winners of the 1/4 final will be at home to Headington Amat's or Binfield |

It certainly wasn't a classic performance! At half I had probably watched our worst football of the season, however we were lucky to be only 1-0 down and that was a fluke goal, the strong wind sending a corner straight in to the goal. A couple of inspired substitutions just after halftime and we suddenly had more of the game and the equaliser came from Olly Bannister, another fluke, and it was a carbon copy of Ardleys goal! Extra time showed we were the fittest team however and a winner duly came from the boot of Greg Nutley. Great credit must go to Ardley who were an excellant team playing some good football. The hospitality was fantastic and we look forward to playing them again next season when they achieve promotion from div 2. |

well done to all John. It might only be a reserve cup, however to the players playing at reserve level it is no different to their respective first teams winning their league cup ! Certainly i would say its more meaningful than the Losers, oops i mean Supplementary Cups. Good luck in the semis, lets hope as a club we can still get to 2 finals this year ! |

It was quite a game a 3 - 3 draw with Hungerford at one stage being 3 - 1 up. Two evenly matched sides however still all to play for. |
