local newspaper needs story

Would it be worth the money to write a 1/4 page ad about what happens when poicy holders call in a glass claim and are sent to specific glass shops and how that has affected your business. Where could i get the comic book on Insurance TPA,s guiding work to there own locations? If you have something in mind and dont mind me editing it a little for my own location you can send it to dman39@alaska.net

Howies!

thanks for ideas on titles to catch a readers interest and the IGA could get farther ahead by posting a article that could be tweeked a little for individuals demografic area.
I just think trying to change laws leaves too many loop holes for the TPA's dogs to jump thru. I educate customer over the front counter every day but have a vision on a larger scale. There are so many people that dont know how the system works and thats a lot of money that needs to be re-directed right to my bank acount and passed on to my workers.
I make enough money that feeds my family and gives me toys, but i would like to have a better pillow for retirement and see my guys reep the benefits of what this skill has to offer them. More work more money and were all good at what we do, just want to kick it up a notch and level the playing field and show people we give better service.
I look at the forum every once in a while but try not to let it consume my life. I like to work 10hrs and come home and forget about it for a while. Dont have much time at work to read cuz im working and when im home im working on being a good dad and husband.

Tell someone tomarrow you will do a free repair for their grandma or grandpa and see if they appreciate your kindness. And tell me if it made you feel good about giving someone something for free!!!

Re: local newspaper needs story

Considering that almost everyone has no idea what's involved in the process, it'd be worth the time and effert to write this. I'd recomend going to several shops to do research and spend time on a truck with the guys in the field.

WINDSHIELDS INSTALLED AT OR BELOW COST

WINDSHIELDS INSTALLED AT OR BELOW COST

Insurance companies and their third party providers are accepting bids to provide auto glass replacement for their policyholders. As a policyholder you may be STEERED to these irresponsible bidders who are generally selected solely on the basis of lowest cost. To compete in this market, these rogue companies often need to compromise the integrity of your vehicle by using inexperienced personnel and/or substandard materials that may void factory warranties and/or cause damage such as rust or water damage.
You have the right and responsibility of choosing the best possible repairers for you and your vehicle. The experience of a technician can vary greatly, from 20 days to well over 20 years. There is NO SUBSTITUTE for this time and training.
SAFETY is also a hidden factor that may never be realized except in the event of a crash or rollover. The windshield is now a very important and integral part of your vehicle, preventing injuries under these circumstances.
KNOW YOUR TECHNICIAN and AVOID being STEERED in the direction of self-certified and/or self- referring third party administrators (often 1-800 numbers found on the backs of insurance cards).
Instead seek out technicians that belong to companies whose success depends on reputation and referral. Glass Associations, Mechanics, Local Chambers of Commerce, or Insurance Agents will have experience in selecting a reputable Auto Glass Shop in your area should you need help making this important, responsible choice.
CHOOSE WISELY! This could be a life and death decision.
