Sika COOL

Just looking at the Sika website and noticed it said COOL was "suitable" for non-conductive and high modulus. Is this right?...can we use it on German cars?

Re: Sika COOL

Been a while but I believe we used it specifically for the High Mod applications.

Re: Sika COOL

I Just switched to the COOL. It is priced right in the middle of ASAP and 220 but comes with the Aktivator and primer sticks, I love it, 2 hour safe drive away. hardly any of them fancy cars up here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin so I cant answer your question however, I thought all Sika products were non conductive, I will ask my rep when I win the trip to New York City!!!

Re: Sika COOL

I have been told that all SIKA products are non-conductive and high modulus. But I do know that cool is and have been useing it since it came out. It is just like it says COOL.

Re: Sika COOL

Sorry, I stuttered.

I started out using both Cool and Move It and liked it alot. I've bought far more Move It just because I don't like switching between two products.
Something I learned in demolitions.

I would wholeheartedly endorse Cool however

Re: Sika COOL

I was using Move It exclusively until afew months ago. Great product, I can't say a bad word about it except for the price. That stuff is expensive.

Re: Sika COOL

I know we joke about it but look at what the tanking economy is doing to us.

Making choices that could affect the final job. Exploring ways to cut costs with no real way of verifying that one is not sacrificing standards instead of a price increase.

Heck I bet could save $5-$6 a tube if I go to CRL. Hmm while I'm there I'll buy a roll of generic molding. From my cell I'll order a case of no DOT windshields.

I'm just saying it is a slippery slope one starts to play on.....and it can all start with a single misstep. Just my opinion

Re: Sika COOL

Cool and Move are both rated non-conductive and high mod. Both will satisfy all aluminum body cars requiring a stiffer cure urethane fot structeral strength.

Re: Sika COOL

I tested the heck out of Titan 660 before I began using it for actual jobs. I replaced my own fathers windshield (which wasn't even broken by the way) with it and closely monitored the results for close to a week. Then I began to use it slowly on jobs...first on easy jobs and then eventually on everything. It hasn't failed me yet and it saves me alot...I can pay my van payment and my yellow pages bill every month with the money I save using Adco as opposed to Sika or the Dow Betaseal line.

As far as it being a slippery slope...I disagree. As long as one is comparing apples to apples (the point of testing) I don't see how quality is being sacrificed for price.

BTW I would never buy no DOT glass. When it comes to that I will hang up my cold knife and retire.
