WOW Net Cost.

Today I got an E-Mail reminder from Net Cost telling me I have not submitted an invoice I did in early April. I thought that was nice because I had marked it paid (only the deductable was paid) I was wondering does Safelite and Lynx do this???

Re: WOW Net Cost.

lynx does... faxes come at times saying a "successfull invoice has not been submitted"...

safelite doesn't want to pay. Period. They wont help out at all- especially if they owe money to an independant.

Re: WOW Net Cost.

I have gotten them from SGC also. They send the job 500 or 1000 deductible then send me email wondering why i haven't submitted an invoice on the referral.

Re: WOW Net Cost.

I swear net cost throws every other fax in the trash. We get called on every job we do at least once, usually twice, saying they didn't receive the fax. May be an example of another TPA kiting money from shops till more comes in. In laymens terms" borrowing from peter to pay paul. Just a delay tactic to keep from paying in a timely fashion. Actually got an insurance company to allow us to direct bill because they slow pay.

Re: WOW Net Cost.

We get faxes like that from all networks fairly regularly.

I am convinced, after all this time, that it's to generate a "paper trail" of documentation, for their benefit.

I cannot think of a time where we had not already repeatedly transmitted the proper paperwork prior to those faxes coming our way.

The replies:

* "We don't have that in our system yet", or

*"We just received that one yesterday", or

*"The insurer hasn't paid us on that one yet",

...must be the three classic replies in chapter ONE of the

"Glass Network Operations Manual", titled "How To Control Cash Flow, Theirs to Ours".

I assume that they realized that "The Check Is In The Mail!" was worn out years ago, and didn't include it in the manual.

Re: WOW Net Cost.

Its funny, sometimes even when you do that , you end up with pages of documentation, and no money.

Re: WOW Net Cost.

You may have missed my point, Potato.

I meant that it generates documentation and a paper trail that we/you did something wrong in the process, not them, should anyone of any authority ask questions scrutinizing their processes.

Re: WOW Net Cost.

*"The insurer hasn't paid us on that one yet",

My response to that is "That is not my problem. State Law says you have thirty days to pay me and since I am required by the insurance company to bill through you, then that applies to you. I will be filing a complaint with the Insurance commissioner against you and the Insurance company if I do not receive my mony in that time frame."

And I do follow through with that. If they get enough complaints then they will eventually look into it.

Re: WOW Net Cost.

Mark1- Yes I missed it. But its strange , now that I understand you, there was for months a recurring parade of blank , yes blank faxes from LYNX. We called to find out why but they said they did not know. This went on for a few months 1-3 a day so I made the suggestion that they were covering their butts in some way. It was a while ago but I think I might still have them. I'll have my "peeps" refresh me on the topic and if there is more to add I will.
.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Re: WOW Net Cost.

Magic... off topic but in reply. I think the report to the Insurance Commissioner at least sounds like it may yield results, however, I wonder where it is that you live where a state law enforces your Net 30 terms?

Re: WOW Net Cost.

Every state to the best of my knowledge has a timely payment of claims law.

Enforcement is another issue, unfortunately.

Nevertheless, I agree with the idea of reporting abuses wholeheartedly.

I have received blank faxes from Lynx. Usually over night. All it says is "right fax" or something like that on it.
