"AS FOR PAYMENT WITHIN 12 DAYS, MR. FEENEY, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT FIRST!"
I JUST PULLED MY LAST 15 EDI PAYMENTS FROM SAFELITE, FUNNY THE ONLY PAYMENTS MADE TO ME WITHIN 12 DAYS WERE 2, BOTH FOR CHIP REPAIRS, $60.00 AND 59.95. ANOTHER PAYMENT WAS WITHIN 13 DAYS, AMOUNT UNDER $200.00. OF THE OTHER 12 INVOICES, PAYMENTS WERE AS FOLLOWS, 28, 33,16,20,24,24,20,24,28, 30,24,28 DAYS. FUNNY HOW CHIP REPAIRS GET PAID QUICKLY, AND REPLACEMENTS FOR LARGER AMOUNTS TAKE LONGER.
ON ANOTHER MATTER, A CUSTOMER JUST THIS MONDAY, TOLD ME WHEN HE CALLED IN HIS SAFECO CLAIM, IMMEDIATLY, CSR ASK IF SHE COULD SCHEDULE HIM AN APPOINTMENT FOR SOMEONE TO COME OUT AND DO THE REPLACEMENT. HE SAID NO, HE WOULD BRING IN TO MY SHOP. DID NOT WANT IT DONE IN HIS DRIVEWAY. STEERING TAKES ON MANY DIFFERENT FORMS.
MR. FEENEY'S COMMENTS JUST A BUNCH OF BS!

sh, we have seen exactly the same thing from them. repairs and smaller invoice come a little quicker, and most larger invoices come 30 -60 days. But I do not believe we seen any paid within 12 days. Only ins co's. we direct bill pay 3-15 days. sgc always have, and always will, use our $$$$ as long as they can.Even back when Hal(from the dark side) was asking shops the quickest we saw was 15-30 days. At least from what I heard, at the convention someone asked, who in attendance, has seen payment within 12 days, and NO ONE raised thier hand.

That is just shocking, we have the same problem, we thought we were the only ones(LOL). Most of our invoices are less than 30 days, but past 20 days. There are 5 over 30 days, and 2 over 45 days.

In ten years, not any TPA/insurance co. has ever paid us within 10 days, not a one.
But if we're a day late with our premium, watch out for the threatening letters from them.

We have a few Insurance co's that pay in 3-10 days, very typically. But these are direct bill co's. We fax them the invoice and bam, they cut us the check. I just love being independent and working with a few great companies. And we send allot of our customers to them also! After being jerked around by some networks and lousy service from certain companies, they realize, spend a few more dollars, and get allot better service and coverage!

I believe Feeney corrected himself later in his Q&A on this. He stressed that "correct" invoices are paid in 12 days. Whatever that means.

I had 2 at 70 days and they were for the same customer and same car.The jobs were done 4 months apart.
I cant even get on their network either. I was told the area was to saturated with glass shops!
I still do work for their insured anyway. I just tell my customers that we will handle the claim when the tech gets to the job site. This way we are there ready to go and WE make the call to their insurance company, no chance for steering.
