Re: subaru Rearveiw mirror

We've seen some mirrors that wiggle in the base atfter we twist them on..The base isnt made to close enought tolerences.you have to stick a matchbook cover piece between bracket and mirror to elimate the wobble...or just urethane the new base on and ask the customer come back in 24 hours so you can twist the mirror on...Dont use loc tite..it cause mirror button stress cracks...

It was the button I had one laying around so I just took the new one off and put an old one on for some reason I have been getting alot of jacked up brackets on windsheild with dot563.

Atech, I do the same thing, I use to do many Subaru for the dealer, I even keep a spare wire off an oem glass in case I ever run into an atermarket glass with a mirror that wobbles!

Re: subaru Rearveiw mirror

if this mirror bracket is similar to the fw2064 brackets, all we do is remove the wire and bend the arch more. then we re install it on the bracket. the mirror will be somewhat difficult to install, but the wiggling will be gone. has not failed us yet.

Re: subaru Rearveiw mirror

TTech uses the same method as I do.

I've had the same wobble problem when dealing with Acura MDX and older model TL aftermarket glasses espcially when dealing with Chinese-made glass
