Re: BRYAN....

Now why would you say something like that? Glasssgod knew that my hockey team was eliminated from the playoffs and thought I might depressed. My top 3 passions in life are my family, music and hockey. I can't say that I'd riot like people in Montreal but I'm definitely serious about the sport.

Besides - doesn't everyone on this forum love me?

Re: BRYAN....

Good luck against the Stars. I think San Jose will take 'em. Turco can't stay hot forever.

Re: BRYAN....

They have the horses to go all the way. It still remains to be seen if they can win "ugly". There are tims I think the Sharks front lines try to execute "pretty" passes and plays instead of overwhelming the defense with bodies and shots.

Just an opinion from an old old old jr am goalie

Re: BRYAN....

Dave, I hate when I hear that it's warmer in W NY or Mass than it is here in California. It doesn't help the real estate market or chamber of commerce.

Re: BRYAN....

Yeah. The Caps were doing that crap at times too. Blind behind the back passes, cross ice passes. Drive the net and put shots on goal.

Never played ice hockey (not real big here in Northern Virginia) but I played roller hockey for about 10 years. I was a goalie as well. Loved it. Hope to lose some weight and get back in good enough shape to start playing in the old farts league again. Still have all my gear.

Re: BRYAN....

At age 7, I suffered a open compound ankle fracture when I caught a skate and got hit at the same time. it took almost three years on crutches and PT to walk again. Skating was not something I would never do well again.
Well I "had" to play so I ended up strapping on the big pads and playing goalie. At first, it was "pond hockey" where we'd flood a place since rinks weren't exactly plentiful and I "learned" the position wearing boots and not skates. I got asked to join a team and played goalie until I got to be 6'3" and basketball. football and track became sports of choice and body type.

Re: BRYAN....

Alas My Sharkies got whupped in triple overtime last night (this morning) to lose its series 4-2. No noose will be needed but it hurt to see them end another season without going deeper

great game however due to the lateness of the hour and the lack of national coverage, I bet few watched it. Two very evenly matched teams. San Jose did not seem to start the series with intensity and it cost them.

It would be nice to see two old line teams such as Detroit and the Flyers mix it up for Lord Stanley's Cup

I don't think anyone is going to be able to stop Detroit. They're a machine. Its just sick.

Re: BRYAN....

Mr Pink is right! It was a power play about 2-3 minutes into the 4th that the Stars scored.......

and it was a very very good game with very good goal tending in both nets

Re: BRYAN....

I think the only reason why they call them the San Jose Sharks is because that is who they will be sleeping with after the next big one.

Bryan,
With all due respect, have you not seen the Pittsburgh Penguins yet?

Re: BRYAN....

I've seen the Pens play plenty of times. I just don't think they're a match against the skill and experience that the Red Wings have.
