Why on earth should we not let our cats kill birds ????
Mother nature is a brutal bithc !
Should we perhaps also put little irritating bells on eagles ? Or is it OK for them to kill ?

Replying to: Article: well cats are natural killers like it or not, that is why we buy them those cute little mice toys and things like that. So if you are going to let your cat out the best thing to do is keep a bell to alert the birds, bunnies ect. I hope you live in a very rural area because in the city a life of a cat is dramaticaly shortened because of cars, dogs ect.

Replying to Original Article: Article: I couldn't do that! He'd probably end up climbing out through an open window or the roof or something!

Replying to Original Article: Article: please don`t let your cat out as there are many dangers out in the world. Your fur friend and the birds will be safer.

Replying to Original Article: Article: From what I've observed bells don't work very well but there are collars that can be bought from the vet that sound an alarm when sudden motion is detected. I don't know how well they work. My cat is kept inside permanently. He's always safe and so are the birds!

Replying to Original Article: My cat is allowed outdoors.
He sometimes comes back with mice and birds.
Is there anything I can do to discourage this? |
