I will still be astounded if any one can find photgraphs of the Show Boat Grill which was down stairs in the 70's.

Paul, those photos of the Berni Inn at the George are brilliant!! I always remember you and your family going up there a heck of a lot.I reckon they gave your mum and dad a loyalty card!!Or the idea to produce one in later years! We always ventured down to the Red House at Redbridge on Birthdays.....we liked the intimate little seating arrangements there!Plus it made more of a do of the day or evening as it was a bit of a trek walking down to Redbridge from where we lived!!!!(certainly helpful afterwards if you'd stuffed your face full of ice cream etc,.!!!!)
