Countdown on Rage in January '09
Hi everyone! Did I read right in the "Rage" guestbook 'bout the chance of gettin' wall to wall "Countdown" episodes in January next year? How fantastic would that be?-back to the way it was to start with:nothin' but "Countdown",before they threw "Rock Arena","GTK","Hit Scene","Flashez","Countdown Revolution",last year's infamous Madonna special and worst of all,the horror that was/is "Recovery" into the mix Would love to get all excited if this were true but as the Moderator has told many a porky over the years,best to wait and see |

I just read the rage guestbook and I had to put a message on this forum. Looks like COUNTDOWN, COUNTDOWN, COUNTDOWN and more COUNTDOWN in Jan '09. You beauty! I think the moderator is sticking to his/her words - and I don't know how many of you have been reading the guestbook, but I have been requesting the Countdown December '83 Christmas episode every week now for 6 months. I asked for a response and they said consider it done, an early Christmas present. I have faith in them. |

Hi Michael! I'm still unsure 'bout puttin' faith in "Rage"'s moderator,after the comments I sent yesterday in response to what the moderator added after one of CJ(aka Jason)'s posts didn't make it in the guestbook today.I'm guessin' the moderator could've objected to me saying us "Countdown" fans have been shortchanged for years when he/she thought we might've felt this way only this year |

I am starting to wonder that there is more than one moderator at rage headquarters, which is why they don't keep to their word. Anyway, here's the reply I got from my message. name Michael visit time 18/07/2008 1:24 PM message Hi rage, can you please play the 24/12/83 Countdown Christmas episode in January '09. Cheers. Any chance of a reply? Also, the playlist for Saturday night is awesome! I am familiar with all the artists, but not so much the songs played. Finally, I get to see the video for 'You Can Do Magic' by America and 'Are Friends Electric' Tubeway Army among others. Fantastic! Guy, that's one single sentence: the clause after the em-dash is thus related to and subservient to the initial clause, thanking you. So: Miss Mod is thanking you for your enthusiasm over the Saturday playlist, and cheekily (hence the winking emoticon) acknowledging that they can't say anything about Christmas, so you should treat that Saturday playlist as a Christmas present. That's why she's calling it "early"; since it's neither Christmas at the time or January when they'll be playing Countdowns. If the Mod *was* promising you the Christmas ep, it would have to be a late Christmas present, not early, as it would be going out in January.... |
