actually the date in the posted letter is wrong. I started here in Korea 3 months after taking the TESOL course, in July 2001. It has been a fantastic experience. Feel free to email me. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- Replying to: Dear Dr. Stewart
Thank you for your recent emails regarding the improvement of the TESOL program. The propasals for change are very positive. I wish you great success in your endeavors
I graduated from the TESOL program in Edmonton, Alberta in March of 1990. In August, I started work for a great school in S. Korea. After teaching adults and university students 2 years at a private institute, I applied and was accepted as a visiting professor at a National University here in Korea. At present, I am serving my second term as Head Teacher in our EFL department.
I just want to say a huge thank you to my TESOL instructors for their guidance and encouragement. Coming to Korea has changed my life. I absolutely LOVE it. For others who are still wondering if teaching overseas, I would say this. Teaching overseas is not for the faint of heart, but if you are flexible and willing to accept the ways and thinking of another culture as just being different, not right or wrong, you can have the adventure of a lifetime. Thank you again Sincerely, Anne in Korea
Please feel free to use my letter in your emails to other TESOL members and new graduates |
