I was just curious. How can a newspaper say they are locally owned when in fact they are owned out of state? |

I don't get it. What newspaper claims to be locally owned and isn't? What would such misinformation imply? If there is a point to be made, why not just make it? I'm not trying to be mean, I just don't know what the "big idea" behind your post is. |

Maybe this will help shed a little light. A local gentleman who lives right here in Craig owns the Moffat County Morning News and its affiliate publications through a limited liability company licensed in Colorado. Currently, there are talks aimed at a merger of ownership to represent even more local owners —— though they are preliminary talks. Thanks for the question, Sarah.
